Ministry Life:

We could fill up our site with all of the opportunities that are available here!!  We've listed a few of them on this page so that you can get an idea of what we are all about.

Connect:

Couples night out:  This is a fun evening that takes place once a month.  Sometimes we eat out, sometimes we gather in one another's homes.  We offer child care here at the church for those with small children.

Girl's night out:  Our women gather once a month for fellowship and fun!!

Men's night out:  Yes, the men like to have fun too!!

Empty Nester's night out:  We don't call them "seniors" around here!

St. Catherine's Tennis League:  We have a large number of folks who love tennis!  We meet on the Sienna tennis courts every week to play tennis and fellowship!

Grow:

Foundations class:  This class, designed primarily for newcomers, is offered several times a year.  The class covers a wide range of topics; from growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ to Episcopal church history.  The class is required for anyone seeking to become a member of St. Catherine's.

The Rubber meets the Road:  This class begins in September and will be offered on Tuesday morning and then again on Tuesday evening.  This is a discussion that covers the basic questions of the faith.  Why is there so much pain and suffering?  Do we really have free will?  Does God answer every prayer?

Wine Study and Bible Tasting:  This is a fun night that takes place once a month in someone's home.  We begin with Bible study, then we have a wine tasting that includes food and snacks.

Lenten Series:  Every year, during the season of Lent, we hold a Sunday evening class in the church.  This facilitated discussion centers on a book that we all read together...this past Lent we used the book "Experiencing God".

Sunday school:  Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 and lasts until 10:15...we have amazing teachers!!

EYC:  "Episcopal Youth Community".  EYC is designed for young people in the 6th-9th grades.  They meet every other Sunday evening for fellowship, games, and study.

Serve:

Fort Bend Human Needs:  We serve this ministry in a number of ways.  We collect food here at the church and then deliver it to the site.  We also send volunteers to work on a regular basis.  You can click on the link provided to learn more about FBHN and what they do.

Soles4Shoes Drive:  This organization has given out over 14 million pairs of shoes to people in over 120 countries.  This year we will be collecting shoes here at the church.

Operation Christmas Child:  We are a local drop off center for this incredible ministry.  Individuals gather gifts and place them in shoe boxes for Christmas.  These boxes are distributed in places all over the world.  Our team of volunteers works hard to put it all together!

NAIM:  North American Indian Ministry.  We have sent mission teams in the past to work on the reservations, and we support the ministry in any way we can!

Mission work:  Our youth take part on a mission trip every year.

Angel Tree:  We set up a tree in our church every year.  The gifts that we receive go to children currently in CPS.
