Do you ever feel sad, alone, worried?  Have a hard time knowing what to do?  Reach for the Psalms!  The book of Psalms in the Bible is a book of prayers and songs, and they embrace the full emotions experienced by their writers, which included Moses, Asaph, Solomon, and mostly David.  It talks about giving praise and giving thanks, of asking forgiveness, overcoming temptation, dealing with discouragement, facing fear, finding guidance, seeking wisdom or gaining courage.  Regardless of what you are going through, it is probably in the Psalms, so when you do, reach for the Bible, find what it is you are dealing with, and read the corresponding Psalm.  I promise that not only will it make you feel better, but it is also a great example of the Bible helping us pray and communicate with God, just by reading his word.  Here is a quick guide to the various Psalms:
